Gurus

I was recently introduced to Gurus sandals and immediately fell in love!  Gurus are a modern twist on a 5,000 year-old Indian classic, inspired by the ancient wooden sandal worn by Mahatma Gandhi.

These sandals are not only comfortable and extremely cute, but they are eco-friendly as well.  They are made from natural sustainably sourced rubber grown right on their families farms where they grew up!

The run pretty true to size, but I wish i'd gotten mine a size bigger as I like my sandals a bit looser.  The top strap was initially a bit snug, but after wearing them and trying a great suggestion by the founder to twist the strap to make it a little wider I was good to go!

For every pair of shoes sold, they plant a tree!  That is reason enough to go out and buy a pair, or two!!!  They have a variety of beautiful colors and come with an cute dust bag to keep them in when not wearing. You wont be disappointed in these sandals!

These sandals are perfect for the beach, gym, yoga studio, salon to get a pedicure and not worry about smudging your nails, or just out on the town.

If you haven't tried Gurus sandals yet, I recommend you getting a pair!  I can't wait to get some more in other colors!

For more information, visit their website.  They can also be found on FacebookTwitterInstagramInstagram, and Pinterest.

Soapbox Soaps

I recently had the opportunity to sample some Soapbox products, including their bar and liquid soaps. Soapbox is a company with a handful of young people who are working to change the world!  Each purchase made with their company helps to support programs that provide clean vitamins, soaps, and clean drinking water to people in need around the world.  For each bar of soap purchased, they donate a bar to a child in need., For every purchase of liquid soap bottle, they donate a months worth of water.

All of their soaps are:
  • Made in America
  • Palm Oil Free
  • Gluten Free
  • Paraben Free
  • Phthalate Free
  • Sulfate Free
  • Petrochemical Free
  • Cruelty Free & Vegan Certified

I sampled the Orange bar and Mandarin liquid soaps, and was very impressed with the quality as well as the scent of the product.  Both have amazing scents that smell like fresh Oranges!

The Orange bar soap contains Shea Butter so your hands don't feel dried out after using it, and also have Sea Salt to help exfoliate while you wash!  I loved the consistency, smell and everything about their soaps!

I have definitely found my new favorite soaps, and can't wait to purchase their liquid soap to try as well!

Soapbox currently has a promotion running now through August 12, 2014.  They are working in collaboration with the online marketplace Do Good Buy Us for a special deal called Buy it, Give it, Share it. With any order of two Soapbox bars purchased from Do Good Buy Us, Soapbox will donate two bars of soap to a child in need, and you are able to send a third bar to a friend to try!

There is no better time than now to try their products and help a child in need!

If you haven't yet tried any Soapbox products, I recommend that you do!
